Featured Group

Aloha! You are invited to join the UNC Bears Network for alumni from and/or living in Hawai'i. Together we are building our community in Hawai'i and on the mainland. Alumni support Hawai'i student recruitment activities, the Ha'aheo 'O Hawai'i Club annual lūʻau, the graduation lei campaign, the Aloha Scholarship, and Asian Pacific American Student Services programs throughout the year.

Using Groups to Build Your Bear Network

Introductions and Referrals

Did you know that you can use your Bear Network to request an introduction or referral to connect with a fellow Bear. This is especially useful if you are a recent graduate, moving to a new city, or just want to build a stronger network. Reach out to a member of the alumni relations staff for assistance and let us know how we can help in facilitating a connection or introduction.

Planning an Event?

The Office of Alumni Relations has a variety of resources we can provide to alumni groups who are planning events around the Bear Network, including hosting registration pages, distributing email invitations, sharing information on social media, and more! Please contact us at alumni@cnof86.com at least 6-8 weeks prior to the event to be connected with a member of our team.

Social Media

One of the best ways to get and stay connected with fellow UNC Bears is through social media. You can not only follow the Alumni Association through our social media channels, but also connect to a variety of other UNC programs and departments as well.

University Resources

The Division of University Advancement provides a variety of brand tools that can be used to develop invitations, social media posts, or other UNC-related digital or print content including logos, fonts, and other elements.  Campus photographers have also put together a great collection of UNC photography

Alumni on LinkedIn

While you build your Bear Network around where you live and work, or what you studied, don't forget to broaden your network to include alumni from all backgrounds.

UNC's LinkedIn Alumni Group gives you the perfect place to connect with fellow grads, follow university and alumni news, and post your own topics for conversation.
